1. Scope and our role

This Privacy Policy describes how Unicus Capital LLC (“Unicus,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards personal information when you visit unicuscapital.com, respond to an advertisement, request an introduction, communicate with us, submit an application, upload documents, or use a secure Unicus environment.

Unicus is a private capital advisory institution. We are not a bank and do not make credit decisions or guarantee financing. When you authorize us to evaluate or present a request, information may be shared with prospective financing providers and professional service providers for that purpose.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Identifiers and contact information: name, email, telephone number, postal address, IP address, and online identifiers.
  • Business and professional information: company name, industry, ownership, role, revenue, business history, objectives, website, and professional profile information.
  • Financial and sensitive information: tax identification numbers, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, bank statements, tax returns, financial statements, debt information, credit information, identity documents, and related application materials.
  • Transaction and relationship information: requested services, advisory history, applications, supporting documents, status, and communications.
  • Electronic-signature information: signatures, initials, authorization records, timestamps, device information, and audit details.
  • Internet and device activity: browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed, interactions, approximate location derived from IP address, and advertising or analytics identifiers.
  • Communications: emails, messages, call notes, and—only after appropriate notice or consent—audio, voice, or conversation transcripts.
  • Inferences: business needs, likely areas of interest, qualification indicators, risk signals, and potential advisory pathways derived from information you provide.

Notice at collection. We collect these categories to provide requested services, evaluate and structure opportunities, communicate with you, protect the platform, comply with law, improve our services, and measure or personalize advertising as described below. We retain each category only as reasonably necessary for these purposes and applicable legal obligations.

3. Sources of information

We receive information directly from you; from authorized representatives, referral sources, advertising platforms, and business partners; from service providers supporting our website and secure workflows; and from public or commercially available business sources when permitted by law. If another person provides information about you, they must be authorized to do so.

4. How we use information

  • Respond to inquiries and provide advisory, intake, application, document, and relationship services.
  • Verify identity, assess requests, organize supporting information, and identify potential capital or commerce pathways.
  • Present an authorized request to prospective financing providers or other counterparties.
  • Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve our website, Command Center, client environments, and communications.
  • Maintain records, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, and comply with legal, regulatory, tax, and reporting duties.
  • Measure campaign performance, understand website engagement, and deliver relevant advertising where permitted.

We do not use Social Security numbers, bank statements, tax returns, uploaded financial documents, or credit information to build advertising audiences, and we do not intentionally transmit that information through advertising pixels.

5. When information is disclosed

We may disclose information to:

  • Service providers and contractors supporting hosting, secure storage, document processing, communications, analytics, security, professional services, and operations.
  • Prospective financing providers and counterparties when you request or authorize us to evaluate, structure, or present an opportunity.
  • Advertising and analytics providers such as Google or Meta, limited to website, device, campaign, and contact-event data appropriate for measurement or advertising. Their use of information is governed by their own terms and privacy practices.
  • Government authorities or other parties when required by law, necessary to protect rights or safety, or connected with a business reorganization or transfer.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not sell financial applications or sensitive financial documents as leads. Certain advertising or analytics activities may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under some state laws even when no money is exchanged.

6. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

We and our providers may use cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, understand traffic, attribute conversions, prevent fraud, and support advertising. Advertising platforms may associate website activity with information they already maintain, subject to their policies.

You can limit cookies through browser controls and adjust advertising preferences through the relevant platform. Where applicable, we recognize legally required opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control, for the browser or device sending the signal. Disabling technology may affect site functionality.

7. Calls, texts, and email

Providing a telephone number allows us to contact you about a request you initiated or an existing relationship. It does not, by itself, authorize unrelated marketing. If you separately opt in to marketing calls or texts, you consent to receive communications from Unicus Capital LLC, including communications made using automated technology or an artificial or prerecorded voice where permitted. Consent is not a condition of obtaining services. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply.

You may revoke consent by any reasonable method. For texts, reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. You may also email info@unicuscapital.com. We will honor legally valid revocation and do-not-call requests within the period required by law. Email recipients may use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email.

8. U.S. state privacy rights

Depending on your state and whether a particular law applies to Unicus, you may have the right to know or access personal information, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, obtain a portable copy, limit certain uses of sensitive information, and opt out of sale, targeted advertising, profiling, or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising. You will not be discriminated against for exercising a privacy right.

To submit a request, email info@unicuscapital.com with the subject “Privacy Rights Request,” or write to the address below. Describe the right you wish to exercise and the state where you reside. We may verify your identity and authority before acting. An authorized agent may submit a request when supported by legally sufficient authorization.

If we deny a request and your state provides an appeal right, you may appeal by replying to our decision with “Privacy Appeal.” California residents may also use a supported Global Privacy Control signal to communicate an applicable opt-out request.

9. Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain the relationship, complete transactions, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, and satisfy legal or regulatory obligations. Retention varies by the type and sensitivity of information and the purpose for which it was collected.

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No transmission or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Do not send sensitive documents through ordinary email when a secure upload method is available.

10. Children, external services, and changes

Our services are intended for business owners and authorized adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Our site may link to external services. Their privacy practices are controlled by their respective operators. We may update this Policy as our practices or legal obligations change. The “Last updated” date identifies the current version; material changes will be communicated as required by law.
